History

Emmaus Church is a young church in White Bear Lake, MN, but we have deep familial roots—being planted out of Bethlehem Baptist Church (established 1871). And we have deep theological roots—affirming the Great Christian Tradition as expressed in the Apostles’ Creed.

For months leading up to the beginning of the church, interested Christians in the White Bear Lake area met together for Bible study and fellowship. On June 13, 2020, we were officially commissioned by our sending church for our first official service. We launched with 48 founding church members and three elders/pastors.

Since our inaugural service, we have grown as a church body—both numerically and spiritually. We have met in four different places for worship (nomadic worship was difficult!), but in November 2020, God unexpectedly blessed this church with a home in downtown White Bear Lake.

Emmaus Church is a Reformed Baptist church that exists by the grace of God and for the glory of God. We want to be a people marked by the true worship of our Triune God, sacrificial love, unyielding hope for the future, and childlike prayer and faith.

We meet weekly on Sunday mornings at 2263 3rd St. White Bear Lake, MN.
