Wednesday Night: Christian Education

Join us for a time of Christian Education and learning. Our fall and spring terms are eight weeks in length (each) for a total of sixteen weeks. The fall term begins on Wednesday, Oct. 2nd at 6p.

How it works: We offer a children’s class downstairs, where they will learn and sing new hymns, engage with the Bible, and work with handicrafts.

Upstairs, we will offer three separate (simultaneous) studies in the fall term:

1) An open bible study through the Gospel of Mark, led by Pastor Josh Tollett (all are welcome to join this study at any time throughout the year––no registration needed);

2) A discussion group led by Kyle McIver (kyle.mciver116@gmail.com) in which participants will be reading and discussing the important book, Union with Christ, by Rankin Wilbourne;

3) A discussion group led by Pastor Tom Boyer (tom.boyer@emmauswbl.com) in which participants will be reading and discussing selected short stories from The Complete Stories by the influential Christian fiction writer, Flannery O’Connor.

(The book discussion groups will require registration beforehand. Please purchase the books in advance and email either Kyle or Pastor Tom (emails provided above), informing them that you plan to join their group.)

Note, we are not offering formal nursery this year for ages 3 and below.

Time: From 6–6:10pm, we sing together and pray together in the sanctuary. We then shift to our age specific groups from 6:10–7pm. We aim to promptly end at 7pm each week!
