Wednesday Night: Christian Education
Join us for a time of Christian Education and learning. Our fall and spring terms are eight weeks in length (each) for a total of sixteen weeks. The Fall term begins on Wednesday, October 1st at 6p. The last Wednesday night class will be on November 19th.
How it works: We offer a children’s class downstairs, where they will learn and sing new hymns, engage with the Bible, and work with handicrafts.
Upstairs, we will offer multiple (simultaneous) studies in the fall term:
1) An open bible study through Ecclesiastes, led by Pastor Tom Boyer (all are welcome to join this study at any time throughout the year);
2) A discussion group led by Pastor Josh Tollett (josh.tollett@emmauswbl.com) in which participants will be reading and discussing Andrew Wilson’s Remaking the World: How 1776 Created the Post-Christian West.
(Please purchase the book in advance!)
Note, we are not offering formal nursery this year for ages 3 and below.
Time: From 6–6:10pm, we sing together and pray together in the sanctuary. We then shift to our age specific groups from 6:10–7:15pm.
