Church Meals

At Emmaus Church, we believe it is good for us to eat together. In fact, we believe that covenants are upheld at tables, friendships are forged around tables, and families are strengthened by table fellowship. Thus, we want to make it a habit that we eat together regularly!

The most common way this takes place organically is through self-initiation. We encourage and desire the people of Emmaus to have their homes and tables open regularly to guests.

Soup Sunday: To help facilitate table fellowship, we do also have regular church meals. Throughout the school year, on the first Sunday of each month, we have a church-wide lunch. Everyone is invited and encouraged to join the festivities. These meals are a great way to meet others, follow-up with friends, practice service, and enjoy good food.

Summers at the Park: Throughout the summers, we adjust our rhythms. The church gathers at West Park (in White Bear Lake) for a bring-your-own picnic lunch and fellowship—a great time to be outside, in the community, among friends.
